A Cool Start to Race Week
Tuesday morning welcomed us with clear skies, a light breeze, and temperatures around 70°F, ideal conditions for a barrel race. With about 35 riders in attendance, the atmosphere was relaxed yet focused, setting a positive tone for the week ahead.

Standout Runs + Familiar Faces
While the runs were fast, the atmosphere was relaxed, a perfect balance for a weekday morning. It was great seeing familiar faces back in the arena, many of whom stopped to chat about their photos or grab a new favorite from the table.
The Binder of Awesome: A Fixture at Every Race
The Southwest Barrels Binder of Awesome made its usual appearance and continues to be a favorite among riders. Now a permanent part of every race setup, the binder is packed with free printed photos for riders to take and enjoy. Once again, riders were surprised (in the best way) that the photos were completely free, and more than a few walked away smiling, binder page in hand.
What’s Next for Southwest Barrels
We’ll be right back at John Volken this Thursday night for another round of QCBRA barrel racing under the arena lights. It’ll be a full show with fast runs, great energy, and you guessed it ,the binder of awesome will be there too.
