Last night in Round 9 at the 2025 Wrangler NFR, the barrel racing was electric and fast, with one of the quickest runs of the finals so far. You could feel the crowd every time the gates sprung open, and horses were sharp from the first turn to the final stretch.

Storyline From Round 9

Carlee Otero’s 13.20 was one of the fastest runs of the night. Her horse stayed electric and forward, and that clean, aggressive pattern was enough to blaze past the field in a stacked lineup. It was the fastest run I have ever witnessed in person,

Hayle Gibson-Stillwell kept the pace tight with a strong 13.43. Her run stuck to the pattern and left every turn crisp. That consistency kept her knocking on the door for a win in Vegas.

Veteran Lisa Lockhart posted another top time, showing her experience matters when the pressure gets high. Emily Beisel was right behind, turning in a clean, fast ride.

Flag Girls at NFR

Tricia Aldridge and Kassie Mowry ran solid, competitive patterns that put them in the top half of the go-round money list and kept both riders in the mix for average and world race positioning. Hailey Kinsel had a good run, but it just wasn’t enough to crack the top three tonight.

Current World Standings After Round 9 (Barrel Racing)
• Kassie Mowry still leads the world standings after the night.
• Hailey Kinsel is second overall.
• Tricia Aldridge sits third in total earnings as we head toward night 10.
• Hayle Gibson-Stillwell and Carlee Otero are both inside the top five overall after Round 9.

This race in Vegas is tightening up. A big, clean run tonight can shake up the average and world title picture. With one night left, every turn and every split second matters.
